Hello Friends! Greetings from cool & beautiful Europe. Renee and I have been on tour with Steve Lukather for a couple of weeks now, and it’s been a great run so far! We’ve been to various points in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, the UK, and Switzerland so far. We’re looking ahead to Italy, Austria, Hungary, Poland and Russia in the near future. Please have a look at our ‘Upcoming Events’ link (a little lower, on the right hand side of this page) for more details on dates, locations, and venues. It’s certainly and honor, and humbling to see so many people attending the shows. Thanks to all who’ve made it out to see us! We’re looking forward to all the coming dates on this tour. Hope to see you if we are close to your home town!
In other news, Renee and I are still working on our ‘Observatory’ and ‘Dialogue’ promotions. We’re so thankful to all of you who support us. CDBaby.com, Amazon.com, and iTunes have been great! It’s really a great opportunity for us to be able to make our music available thru these distributors. We would ideally like to get out and tour, playing this music live. We’ve had such wonderful success with our Los Angeles shows, we’d like to expand and share the live music experience in other locations as well!
If you’ve purchased the CDs, or downloaded ‘Dialogue’ or ‘Observatory’, and enjoy it enough to share your feelings, please help us spread the word. Online reviews at the online stores really help to circulate our online presence and helps us get noticed. Thank you!
Please check back, and stay tuned for more news to come on a really cool new music project I’m involved in. I’ve been working lately with some really fun, creative and talented musicians. You know them, and I’m sure you’ll really enjoy the music!
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy!

Hello, my friends. It’s been quite an eventful start to 2013 for Renee and I, and I thought I’d share a little bit of what’s been happening.
At the beginning of the year, Renee and I dove into preparing Steve Lukather’s music from his new and old recordings. We will be touring Europe starting in mid-march (please see ‘Upcoming Events‘ on the right of this page). We’re looking forward to the tour!
As we were preparing for this tour, we were also rehearsing for our ‘Observatory‘ album release party. It was quite an interesting endeavor to learn all of that music! The release party (held on January 19th at the legendary ‘Baked Potato’ club) was an incredible success! We once again sold out the club, and had a wonderful time sharing our music with our friends, new and old, at the club. Please see some photos from this event at the ‘Photos‘ link under ‘Gigs & Events‘. I certainly hope this is the first performance of many to follow!

January 24-27 was the NAMM show (NAMM=’National Association of Music Merchants’), and I performed at 3 separate events:
1- I was honored to play with the legendary Alphonse Mouzon (if you don’t know him, please ‘Google’ his name!). This band included guitarist Alex Skolnick and bassist Rhonda Smith.
2- I enjoyed a ‘reunion’ performance with my old buddies and longtime band mates, Marco Mendoza (bass/vocals) and Joey Heredia (drums/vocals).
3- Lastly, I performed at the ‘Bass Bash’ with the great bassist Scott Ambush, along with drummer Joel Rosenblatt, and Eric Marienthal.
It was a weekend to remember! I really enjoyed finding myself standing on the stage and playing with such great musicians. It seems all the problems of the world temporarily disappeared in those moments… Music truly is an international language! Please see some photos from these events also at the ‘Photos‘ link above.
Thanks to Lou Spirito for all the great photos!
Just as soon as the NAMM show drew to a close, I joined Simon Phillips, Andy Timmons and Ernest Tibbs in the studio. We’ve been having an absolute wonderful time in the studio. I’ll be sharing more details about this project as it develops in the near future. Look for some really cool events to come of this!
That’s about all for now. I’ll leave you for now with my Face Book phrase, which I mean sincerely every time I write it:
“Smiles, and have a wonderful day!”

Happy 2nd week of 2013! How are your resolutions coming along? Here’s hoping everything is going as hoped!
I’d like to let you know that Simon Phillips and Katisse Buckingham will be joining Renee and I at the Baked Potato on January 19th for our ‘formal’ release party and 1st time live performances of songs from ‘Observatory’. If you happen to be in the L.A. area, come on by! Here is the invitation poster:

(you may also find info on the show at the ‘Upcoming Events’ link to the right)
It’s an interesting point that it’s not quite a year later from our ‘Dialogue’ release party (3/3/12), also at the Baked Potato. It seems that our performance last March was a memorable one, not only by us in the band, but also by Tom Meek at ‘L.A. Jazz’ newspaper.
Here is Tom’s Top Ten List from 2012.
We’re really looking forward to our show January 19th, and hope that it’s the first of many to come.
Have a great week!
Steve & Renee
